The best thing about this is whenever a new game comes out and gains popularity, people claim that League of Legends' dominance is over, the new game is clearly better and more popular. They even suggest that some "good" features should be imported to League, because Riot is obviously losing ground to these new titles. Then they go down the toilet and LoL remains the undisputed no.1 game worldwide. For almost 10 years at this point, but people still refuse to believe that Riot knows what the fuck they are doing. We've been through this so many times. Dota2, HotS, Hearthstone, WoW whenever it gets a new expansion, Overwatch, PUBG, Battlerite, Fortnite and it's only the matter of weeks before fucktards make Apex Legends join the list. And they never learn. They never fucking learn not to confuse actually viable and sustainable business strategy with momentary gimmick that will die down in a few months.

Fortnite was dying before apex came out Cuz developers made shit decisions on removing features from the game that made fortnite fornite. Apex just came and made the process faster

I guess Fortnite bubble did burst. Still even 50% is still a lot of money. And beside that, Apex took them by surprise and they still need to properly answer that with some form of updated or enhancement to the game. Still, I doubt it is dying, it just was over-popularized and bubble grew too big.

Lol, you can have a month with 150% of what you make on average and then you have month where you have just 50%. It can also depend on season and other factors. When such things happen in a row you can have a trend. If you have past data you can make predictions as well.

A single google search make you find that article, and that it's neither linked to Apex (the article is talking about january and Apex came out in february), nor a loss of popularity. The article is saying the causes may be Christmas, where people (let's say children) could've been gifted cards for in-game payment, and the fact the pass for the season 7 also came out in December.
